¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ Council is opening up an opportunity for local women to join in a national initiative aimed at encouraging more women to stand for election and get involved in all levels of democracy.
Projects aimed at growing employment, supporting businesses and helping those most in need across ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ are in line for a major boost, following confirmation of new UK Government funding.
Help to recover from the impact of COVID and support for business growth are just some of the benefits the Council’s Business Gateway Team has delivered for ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ businesses.
¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ Council’s Employability Team offers a range of services and support to help people back into work and access skills and training. Over the last year, 172 people started to receive support through a number of different initiatives.
¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ Council is investing in the area’s bridge infrastructure after successfully securing £5.4 million from the Scottish Government’s highly competitive Local Bridge Maintenance Fund.
